Communicating the Message
Decision Map: Changing World Situation External & Internal Noise Perception Testing Hypothesis Decision Communication Action Expected Vs. Unexpected Consequences

Communication - Loud SpeakerWe communicate the message of our decision to others in the hopes of implementing it properly. When we have made a decision and decide to communicate it, we tend to assume that everyone understands the decision from the same perspective. "We are going to see Rambo IV after eating pizza at the local parlor." Since this is what I want, obviously my wife and children want to also, right?

If you were the head researcher in your company, it must be clear to everyone else in the organization that the best way to develop our installed customer base is to develop better products. Isn’t it?

It turns out that we each have our own partial views of the world and our role in it. Stronger communication can be obtained by integrating the multiple perspectives involved in the decision. By integrating the different perspectives into a single model, each individual person with their own perspective can test their own understanding of the decision or hypotheses within the context of the whole.
